Dhal(Parippu) Vadai

DHAL(PARIPPU) VADAI
Parippu vada or Dal vada, to describe in three simple words – spicy, crunchy and yummy. A perfect snack with evening tea. Enjoy the recipe !


Ingredients:

  • 3 cups dry chana Dhal
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • 2 tbsn red chillie powder
  • 2 tbsn salt
  • curry leaves, chopped
  • 1 tbsn Maldive fish(optional)

 

Method:

  • Soak Dhal in water for 6 hours or more.
  • Take 1/2 cup of it separately. Grind the remaining portion coarsely without adding water.
  • Mix the ground dough with the remaining dhal.
  • Then add chilli powder, chopped green chillies, curry leaves, salt, Maldive fish and mix it well.
  • Heat oil in a pan , make small round balls out of the dough and fry until golden and crispy.
