Godamba roti usually prepared for dinner with curry dishes such as Beef or Chicken. Godamba Roti is also known as Murtaba in Singapore.
INGREDIENTS:
- 3 cup of white flour (All purpose flour)
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tbsp of oil
- 1 cup lukewarm water
- 1/2 oil
METHOD:
- Mix the flour, salt and 1 tbsp of oil together.
- Then add the cup of lukewarm water and kneed for about 10 minutes.
- Divide into equal sized balls.
- Cover the divided ball with the 1/2 cup of oil and let sit for at least 1 hour (I like to leave mine for a couple of hours).
- Using a plastic cutting board, smooth out the balls until it’s thin like a sheet.
- Carefully transfer the roti on to a heated griddle.
- Cook until golden brown spots form on each side, then serve.
