Falooda

Falooda is great to enjoy on a hot day.

Egg rice

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups of chilled milk
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar(adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tablespoons of sweet basil (kasa kasa ) seeds
  • 1/2 cup of water (to soak sweet basil seeds)
  • 4 tablespoons of rose syrup
  • 4 tablespoons of strawberry flavored jelly cubs
  • 4 scoops vanila ice cream

 

METHOD:

  • Soak sweet basil seeds in 1/2 cup of water for about 20 to 30 mins. Once they swell using a strainer drain the extra water and set the soaked seeds aside.
  • In 2 tall glasses each, add 2 tablespoons of rose syrup. Depending upon the sweetness preferred and the size of the glass add less or more of the rose syrup.
  • Then add 2 tablespoons of soaked sweet basil(kasa kasa) seeds.
  • Then add 2 tablespoons of strawberry flavored jelly cubs
  • In a slow stream, pour about 1 cup of chilled milk.
  • Then top with 2 scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  • Serve the falooda straight away. While drinking, with a spoon mix the rose syrup settled at the bottom with the milk .
