Ash Plantain Curry (Red color)

Following Ash Plantain (Alu Kesel Vyanjanaya) curry recipe is for 8 people.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1lb Ash Plantain
  • 2 teaspoons of Coriander powder
  • 1 inch long Cinnamon piece
  • Clove 1
  • Little bit of Curry Leaf
  • Coconut First milk and milk taken secondly 8 oz
  • 1 ½ teaspoons of Salt
  • 3 teaspoons of chilli powder
  • Cumin teaspoons 2
  • Cardamom 1
  • Onion 1 oz
  • 1 inch of tempering leaf
  • Oil tablespoons 2

 

METHOD:

  • Peel the ash plantain, cut into finger length pieces. Put those pieces into the water. Cut onion into thin pieces
  • Once the oil is hot and well fermented, put curry leaves, tempering leaf and onion. Fry the mixture until it became to light brown
  • Mix all spices with ash plantain and fry until it became to dark brown
  • Mix the coconut milk, cook in slight fire until boiled the ash plantain
