Koonisso Lunu Miris

Kunisso lunu miris (Shrimp salt chilie) to eat coconut bread (Pol Rotti), hoppers (Aappa), milk rice (Kiribath), fried rice or white rice (Sudu bath).

INGREDIENTS:

  • 10 dried chillies
  • 8 garlic bick
  • 10 or 15 pods of red onion
  • Wash washed water and then finely chop shrimp 25g
  • 1/4 cups of water
  • Juice of lime
  • Little bit of tamarind juice
  • Salt
  • 4 tbsp of sugar

 

METHOD:

  • Drain the chilies and put them in hot water.
  • Add shrimp in to the frying pan without oil and bake around for 4 minutes until smell come out.
  • Now add baked shrimp, red onion, garlic, squeezed dried chilies and ΒΌ water cup in to the blender and blend them in two minutes.
  • Now put the frying pan on the stove. Put oil on it. After the oil heated, reduce the flame and cook the blended mixture for 15 minutes while stirring.
  • Then add tamarind, lime, sugar and salt to it. Sire well till the heat over. Put it into the small bottle.
  • It’s great to eat coconut bread (Pol Rotti), hoppers, milk rice, fried rice or white rice.
