Egg Rice (Biththara Batha)

Egg rice (Biththara batha) for your lunch or dinner.

Egg rice

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 kg of samba rice
  • 50 g of essential oil
  • 1 Chopped onion
  • 8 cups of stock water
  • Finely chopped omelette made from 4 eggs
  • 4 beaten raw eggs
  • 50 grams of cashews
  • 3 Teaspoon of vegetable oil
  • 50 g of Sultana grapes
  • Chopped onion1
  • 8 Cloves
  • 8 Cardamom pods
  • 10 Peppercorns
  • Cinnamon cut into 2 inches

 

METHOD:

  • Add rice, spices and stock and cook until the rice is cooked through.
  • Melt the vegetable oil.
  • Add the chopped onions, sultana grapes and fry until the onions are golden brown. Add cashews and fry further.
  • Now remove from the stove and add the beaten eggs.
  • Mix this with the cooked rice and finely chopped omelette
