Arabian Pita Bread

Pita bread is a staple in Middle Eastern food. This pita bread recipe is simple, quick, and makes perfect pita bread every time! In the Arabic world, pita is a foreign word, all breads are called khubz (ordinary bread), and specifically this bread is known as khubz arabi (Arabic bread).

Boiled Tapioca or Manioc is a famous dish in Sri Lanka. This is not only served as a breakfast, even it is served with rice and curry for lunch or dinner. Manioc is commonly called as Manyokka in Sinhalese. Boiled Manioc/Tapioca well goes with Lunu miris, Kochchi Sambola . Also serve some fresh grated coconut with it.

Indiappa / String-hoppers

String hoppers are a famous Sri Lankan food,and good as a breakfast or dinner. If we know how to make it correctly,and if we use the correct amount of water to make the dough,it is really easy to make.

Lawariya (Stuffed String Hoppers)

Lawariya is a Sri Lankan traditional sweet & it is suitable for tea time. This is a kind of stuffed string hoppers (indi appa) & this is very easy to cook if you know how to prepare string hoppers.

Kola Kenda

This is a traditional dish, that is usually eaten before breakfast. It is very nutritious. You can  use  Gotu Kola, Mukunuwenna, Ranawara, Welpenela, Polpala, Iramusu, Hathawariya, Elabatu, Aligetapera, Erabadu or a mix of any these.

Lunu Miris (Onion & Chilli Sambal)

This is a mix of onion & chillies pounded with salt..to complete the preparation lime juice is added. A very quick & easy dish. This is not a main dish. Lunu miris is used as an accompaniment for food like hoppers & milk rice.
